Introduction

I'm Gregory Moran, a third generation native Californian. I live, work and play in Manhattan Beach.

What do you do (or want to do) in film, TV, Internet, etc.?

I am currently producing a sizzle reel for a reality based TV show. I want to create scripted television as well as feature films. My goal is to WGA eligable and further my career.

What do you want out of this group? (i.e.: networking, collaborators, education, show-and-tell, presentations, etc.)?

I want to network, create, and collaborate with others to make a dynamic product that will open doors, create a buzz and get representation and a deal in Hollywood.

What is your favorite film/TV genre?

I love the director centric movies of the 60's and early 70's like 'Easy Rider' 'Last Picture Show' and 'Cool Hand Luke' and things by Robert Altman and Woody Allen. I love the all time great sitcoms like 'All in the Family' 'MASH', and 'Family Ties' all the way to the 'Simpsons' and 'Futurerama'. I enjoy smart shows like 'Men of a Certain Age' 'Mad Men' 'Dexter" 'Hung' and 'House' 'The Killing' and 'Damages' and certain procedurals like 'Law & Order' and 'CSI'. But I'm OK with 'Desperate Houswives' and 'Once Upon a Time' too! In short, if it's on TV or at the movies, I can find something worthwhile in every genre. I have just finished a spec script for the 'tween' / family market titled 'Escape From Camelot', and am producing a pitch reel about a cooking show.
